The Voice Project @Spin NYC

Last Night, The Voice Project put on a benefit event, Amplify Peace, at Spin New York.
For those who don't know Spin, its an amazing ping pong place thats got the hipster vibe and in a really cool space.
So with the mix of complimentary ping pong, live music, and a live auction, we were set on having a good time.

But this is more than just an excuse to go out on a Tuesday. Amplify Peace is hosted by The Voice Project, an organization that uses innovative social media campaigns, film, and music to raise awareness and fund programs to help end hostilities and aid victims of war in Africa.

For over two decades, war has ravaged Northern Uganda. It is the longest running conflict in Africa, and has spread to Southern Sudan and Eastern Congo. The Voice Project was inspiried by women's groups in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo that use traditional songs passed by word of mouth and on the radio to call child soldiers and abductees back home. The Voice Project is an effort to amplify their music, and see how far the message can spread.

I took a two video's of these two different groups that performed but for more cover's and information on this amazing charity click here.
